Project Description
The goal of this project is to increase uptake of HIV testing services; optimize provider initiated testing and counseling services in high yield areas such as OPD; TB clinics, Nutritional clinics, STI clinics and inpatient departments.
The program will also optimize index testing through effective use of family referral slips and VAPN in selected sites. The project will strengthen quality of HTS; documentation, supervision and reporting starting with HDAs at facility level.
It will also seek to strengthen quality management amongst providers through mentorship and strengthening supply chain management of HIV test kits to ensure that people receive timely, accurate and reliable HIV test results while at the same time ensuring linkage to treatment for those found HIV positive and provision of appropriate health education messages to those found HIV positive to maintain their negative status.
